The Facebook Comments & Messenger integration helps a business connect its Facebook Business Page with REVE Chat. After the page is connected, messages from Facebook Messenger and supported Facebook Page comments can be managed from the REVE Chat dashboard.
This means the support team does not need to open Facebook again and again to check customer messages. REVE Chat brings those Facebook conversations into one shared inbox, where agents can reply, assign conversations, add notes, and follow up with customers more easily.
This helps businesses respond faster, avoid missed messages, and keep Facebook conversations organized with other support channels such as website live chat, WhatsApp, Instagram, email, and SMS.
Benefits of Using AI Agent in Facebook Business
When Facebook Messenger is connected with REVE Chat, businesses can use AI Agent and automation to handle customer messages more efficiently.
An AI Agent works like a smart support assistant. It can answer simple questions, collect customer information, and send the conversation to a live agent when human help is needed.
Faster replies to customers
Customers often expect quick answers on Facebook. An AI Agent can reply instantly to common questions such as business hours, product availability, pricing, delivery time, or return policy.
Less repeated work for agents
Many customers ask the same questions every day. Instead of making agents type the same answer again and again, the AI Agent can answer those common questions automatically.
This gives live agents more time to solve important or complex customer problems.
Support even when human agents are offline
If a customer sends a message outside business hours, the AI Agent can still reply with helpful information. It can also tell the customer when a live agent will be available.
Better customer information before handoff
The AI Agent can ask the customer for basic details before sending the chat to a live agent.
It can collect information such as:
- Customer name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Order ID
- Product name
- Problem details
This helps the agent understand the issue faster.
Easy routing to the right team
The AI Agent can help send the customer to the correct team.
Example:
- Product question goes to the Sales team.
- Payment issue goes to the Billing team.
- Complaint goes to the Support team.
- Delivery question goes to the Operations team.
Consistent answers
AI Agent can provide approved answers from the business knowledge base. This keeps replies clear and consistent, even when different agents are working on different shifts.
Improved Facebook customer experience
Facebook is often one of the first places where customers contact a business. Fast replies and organized support help build customer trust.
Prerequisites
Before connecting a Facebook Business Page with REVE Chat, make sure the following items are ready.
- REVE Chat account access
- Facebook account access
- Admin or full-control access to the Facebook Page
- Meta Business access
- Browser pop-up permission
- AI Agent setup, if automation is needed
Let’s Connect Facebook Messenger and Comments to REVE Chat
Step 1: Open Social Media Channels
- Log in to the REVE Chat dashboard.
- Go to Integrations from the left-side menu.
- Select Social Media Channels.
- Find the Facebook Comments & Messenger section.
If the Facebook Page is not connected, the section shows a disconnected status and a Connect Facebook Page button.

Step 2: Click Connect Facebook Page
Click Connect Facebook Page to start the connection process.
A Facebook login or authorization window opens. This window is controlled by Facebook/Meta, not by REVE Chat.
Step 3: Confirm the Facebook account
Facebook may ask for a password again. This is a normal security step.
- Check that the correct Facebook account is selected.
- Enter the Facebook password if asked.
- Click Continue.
Use the Facebook account that manages the business page.
Step 4: Choose the Facebook Pages REVE Chat can access
Facebook asks which Pages REVE Chat can access.
You may see options such as:
- Opt in to all current and future Pages
- Opt in to current Pages only
Choose the option that matches the business need.

For most businesses, current Pages only is easier to control because it allows access only to the selected Pages. Then:
- Select the Facebook Page or Pages to connect.
- Click Continue.
Step 5: Choose the Business REVE Chat can access
Facebook may also ask which business portfolio REVE Chat can access.
- Select the correct business.
- Make sure the business checkbox is selected.
- Click Continue.
Choose the business that owns or manages the Facebook Page.
Step 6: Review permissions
Facebook may show a permission screen before completing the connection.
Keep the required permissions enabled so REVE Chat can receive and manage Facebook messages and comments. These permissions are needed to:
- Receive Facebook Messenger messages.
- Show Facebook messages inside REVE Chat.
- Allow agents to reply from REVE Chat.
- Manage supported Facebook Page comments.
- Keep the Facebook Page connected with REVE Chat.
Click Continue, Save, or Done, depending on the button shown by Facebook.
Do not remove required permissions. If permission is removed, messages may not appear in REVE Chat.

Step 7: Complete the connection
After permissions are approved, the setup returns to REVE Chat.
Go back to: Integrations > Social Media Channels > Facebook Comments & Messenger
Check that the Facebook Page is connected.
If the page still shows a disconnected message, refresh the dashboard and check again.

Step 8: Test the connection
After connecting the Facebook Page, test it before using it with customers.
- Open Facebook from another account.
- Send a message to the connected Facebook Page.
- Open the REVE Chat inbox.
- Check whether the Facebook message appears.
- Reply from REVE Chat.
- Confirm that the reply appears in Facebook Messenger.
If Facebook comment support is enabled, add a test comment on a Facebook post and check whether it appears in REVE Chat.
Managing Facebook Conversations in the Omnichannel Inbox
After the Facebook Page is connected, Facebook Messenger messages and supported Facebook comments can be handled from the REVE Chat omnichannel inbox.
The omnichannel inbox is one shared place where the support team can manage customer conversations from different channels(e.g., WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram ). Instead of checking Facebook separately, agents can reply from REVE Chat and manage Facebook conversations along with other customer messages.
This makes the work easier for the team and helps customers get faster replies.
Agents can:
- View Facebook Messenger messages
- Reply to customers
- Manage Facebook comments
- Assign conversations
- Add internal notes
- Use saved replies
- Transfer conversations
- Use AI Agent support
- Track conversation history
- Resolve conversations
Troubleshooting
Facebook login window does not open
Try the following:
- Allow pop-ups in the browser.
- Refresh REVE Chat.
- Click Connect Facebook Page again.
- Try another browser if needed.
Facebook asks for the password again
This is normal. Facebook may ask for the password to confirm the account before giving access.
Facebook Page does not appear
Check the following:
- The correct Facebook account is being used.
- The account has admin or full-control access to the Page.
- The correct business portfolio is selected.
- The Page is active.
- Page permission was not removed during setup.
REVE Chat still shows Facebook disconnected
Try the following:
- Refresh the REVE Chat dashboard.
- Open Integrations > Social Media Channels again.
- Click Connect Facebook Page.
- Complete the Facebook permission process again.
- Keep all required permissions enabled.
Facebook messages are not coming into REVE Chat
Check the following:
- The correct Facebook Page is connected.
- The customer is sending the message to the connected Page.
- Facebook permissions were approved.
- The connection is not expired.
- The test message was sent after the connection was completed.
Best Practices:
- Reply quickly: Fast replies make customers feel valued.
- Keep messages simple: Use clear and short replies. Many Facebook users read messages on mobile phones.
- Use AI Agent for common questions: Let AI Agent answer simple questions such as business hours, location, pricing, delivery time, and return policy.
- Use live agents for complex issues: If the customer is angry, confused, or has a serious problem, transfer the conversation to a human agent.
- Do not ignore comments: Public comments can affect brand image. Reply politely and professionally.
- Use internal notes: Internal notes help the team understand what happened before replying.
- Review permissions when something changes: If a Facebook password, Page role, or business permission changes, reconnect the Page if needed.
Expected Result
After completing the setup, the Facebook Business Page is connected with REVE Chat. The team can manage Facebook Messenger messages and supported Facebook comments from the REVE Chat omnichannel inbox.
If AI Agent is enabled, it can answer common questions, collect customer information, and hand over conversations to live agents when needed. This helps the business reply faster, reduce missed messages, and provide better support through Facebook.
